Our Story
The project began when Dr. Iraj Lalezari was Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Albert Einstein University in New York.
Dr Lalezari developed novel compounds which were found to have anti-glycation activity as well as anti-inflammatory activity. They were also found to be anti oxidants. They were later tested in rat models for diabetes and found to slow down complications associated with diabetes in rat and mouse models.
Dr. Lalezari left Albert Einstein and joined Cell Viable in 2010.
Cell Viable started working with a laboratory in the South of France in 2017.
In 2019, we decided to develop an anti-aging cream for use in the cosmetic industry when we found that the new compounds were anti glycation agents and modified skin collagen, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles in skin.
Currently we are in the process of scale up and finalizing the tests needed to manufacture a new cosmetic utilising our compounds in France.
